Many young people attend the European Development Days

Criticism is present in the halls of the Square Centre, where the event is taking place, but also optimism. An Asian professional I met in the hall stopped me to ask me why there were so many young people attending this event. He told me that in his country it would never happen – I unfortunately didn’t ask him which country was he from. I told him that this is due to the accessibility of the event, free and open to the public, and to the fact that young Europeans are interested in the topic. Maybe I was being too optimistic on this last aspect, but this was the answer I wanted to give him, as he was so enthusiastic.
